Thank you Vet Tix and Live Nation, we had a blast at the Blink-182 concert. It was a bummer Lil Wayne didn't show up, but Blink played well into the night and rocked the house.

Thank you Vettix. This turned out to be a great show. Let me explain: I live in Carlsbad, California. The show was in Irvine, CA; about an hour away. I gathered up the crew and we drove to Irvine. On the way up there a rock hit my windshield and cracked it. No problem. We are still going to see Lil Wayne and Blink 182. We get to the venue. As we are driving in we see a flashing sign that reads "Parking $40." I thought there was about to be a problem. As we approach, we get waved off to the right. "FREE PARKING!!" We are good to go now. We parked the car and discovered that we were at least a 1000 meters away from the stadium. No problem, I can walk. So we get to the entry security check point. We go through security. Then I realize I don't have the tickets. I forgot to pick them up at the box office. No problem, I will just go pick them up. I go to the box office and stood in line. When I got to the window the ticket person told me Lil Wayne will not be performing tonight and asked if I wanted a refund. No problem, the artist we came to see is not performing. We still have Blink 182. I have never seen them before. So, we get inside the outdoor theater and proceed to our seats. (section 303, row 43, seats 7, 8, 9 & 10). When we got to our seats, we realize we are only two rows from being outside the stadium. We so high up we can see everything. We can see the stage. It was huge. We can see all the people. We can see all the lights in the parking lot. There was a delay due to Lil Wayne not performing so we went to the restrooms and got something to eat. The restrooms were phenomenal. They weren't regular port-a-potties. They were airplane restrooms. Really nice. So we go to get food only to discover that a 1 pint bottle of water was $5.50 per bottle. So we got a churro, chicken strips with fries, a burger with fries and 2 sodas: $$$51.00. That's ok cause we didn't buy these tickets. We got our food, went back to our seats and waited for the show. Around 9:20 pm, the stage crew rolled out a platform with a set of drums on it and placed it at the front center of the stage. I'm a drummer and I thought those are some nice drums. The band comes out and starts playing. I don't know any of the words to any of their songs but that's ok because I am fixated on the drummer. I thought it was kind of odd putting the drums in the front because we are usually in the back. Blink 182 is about 2 and a half songs in and the crowd is going bananas. I don't know any of the songs so I can't rock out with them. Then the lead singer says the name: Travis. I know a Travis. He is one of the greatest drummers in the world. This drummer is going ballistic on this kit. Low and behold, it's him: TRAVIS BARKER. I didn't realize he played with Blink 182. The first set of sticks I ever bought were a set of Travis Barker doubles. I keep them in my Jeep. Now I rocking out with Travis Barker. The crowd is sing every word to every song. There were people in their 80's singing the songs. It turned out to be a great night. So thank you VetTix for getting us into the show and letting me witness one of the greatest drummers in the world perform live. I really appreciate it.
