Fun times as always at ‘baseball’s last dive bar’ (Oakland Coliseum). Even though we got destroyed, we got to witness some MLB history with one of the very few perfect games being thrown by a New York rival.

I thank Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases for Oakland A's/NY Yankees game yesterday. We arrived early to beat the crowd because the Yankees usually draw a large attendance. The seats were excellent but the Yanks pitcher threw a gem performance against us. It was exciting to see a rare perfect game but sad it came against our Oakland A's. Thanks again for the tickets and we hope to see a few more before the summer is over.

Dear Veteran Tickets Foundation, I write to you brimming with gratitude and a heart full of exhilaration. Your kindness and generosity afforded me last night's experience that will indeed reside in my memory as a particular highlight. Witnessing the New York Yankees' game was not merely about enjoying America's favorite pastime but also about seeing history being made. The impeccable performance of Domingo German was nothing short of remarkable. German achieved what only a handful of athletes have accomplished in the history of Major League Baseball—a perfect game. He etched his name in the annals of the Yankees' history, joining the likes of Larsen, Wells, and Cone. This truly is an accomplishment worth a salute, and the honor of being present to witness it was nothing less than a gift. The intense, relentless drive that German portrayed resonated with me deeply. As a veteran, I understand the pressure, the determination, and the commitment that such a feat requires. It reminded me of the strength and courage that we, as servicemen and servicewomen, strive to uphold every day. His emotional post-game revelation about dedicating this game to his late uncle was particularly poignant. It reminded me of the bonds we form, the lives we touch, and those that connect us—no matter where we are. The game had it all - from Giancarlo Stanton's home run, igniting the Yankees' domination, to the fantastic, almost poetic display of team synergy in that magnificent six-run fifth inning. Even more so, the A's determination reminded me of the enduring spirit that is the very essence of any struggle, be it on the battleground or a baseball field. Your gracious act of providing these tickets goes far beyond a simple gesture of generosity. For disabled veterans like myself, it presents an opportunity to feel the energy, camaraderie, and passion that sports events offer, invigorating and connecting us to the world uniquely and memorably. In conclusion, I'd like to extend my sincerest appreciation to the entire team at the Veteran Tickets Foundation for making this incredible experience possible. Please continue your fantastic work, making it possible for veterans like me to feel appreciated and involved in these momentous occasions. With heartfelt gratitude, Maury "Mack" McFadden LCDR, USCG (Ret.)

Thank you for the awesome opportunity to watch the Yankees play. Being from NY and out here in California this was really cool. Not just going to the game but then having them pitch a perfect game was insane.
