This show was unbelievable. I attended with my teenage daughter, who is also a Hispanic musician, and she was able to relate. Lots of passion, energy and great acting. Standing ovation. Thanks to La Jolla Playhouse for promoting such amazing content, and allowing veterans, such as myself, the opportunity to bring my children to be a part of theater arts. Thank you!

Derecho is an Awesome production. Absolutely enjoyed it. Understudy with only one rehearsal gave an amazing performance, iPad and all. I was amazed by her acting. Bravo reyna! Thank you Derecho and La Jolla Playhouse.

First of all, thank you La Jolla Playhouse & Vettix. Amazing performance. Amazing venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. The performances were amazing. The title of the performance was Derecho for storm, but the real storm was inside. The theme was a little political, but the power of the performances overshadowed the theme—very professional. Thank you for a great evening. We never turn down a chance for a performance at the La Jolla Playhouse.

Thanks to La Jolla Playhouse for inviting us to this thought provoking performance. It was an honor to be at the opening night of a play that has never been seen before anywhere. The personal and political issues conflicting with each other made for interesting conversation on the way home. Special thanks to the understudy and playwrite who stepped in for the two ill actors.
