A Veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including their life. The first time I read that, it changed my perspective on Veterans Day. I was proud to defend our Constitution and its essential freedoms. The generous support of our veterans so humbles me. The memories and experiences will last forever.
