August 31st 2025 is a night that will live in infamy,. No, not really, but it will be a night long remembered. Circumstances were perfect, I live in Iowa and was moving my son back up to attend UW Platteville for his Sophomore year. So I was already going to be in Wisconsin. Today is Labor Day, so no work for myself and best friend of 52 years (since second grade) and no school for my son and 16 year old daughter. Perfect weather for a road trip and two of my favorite bands from my misspent teenage years, Billy Idol and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, were playing in Milwaukee. I missed the first raffle for tickets, did not win in second raffle and had all but given up when 20 tickets opened up and I scored four! My friend and I were elated and my son and daughter were excited as well, after all they had been listening to this music since they were born whenever they were in the mini van or whatever car I was driving when they were growing up. T’was a great night to…rock again! Thank you Live Nation and VetTix for helping me show my kids what a real rock and roll experience really is, it really could not have gone any better! (Unfortunately my friend was cut out of the picture, but he was off to the right smiling away, you need to take my word for it!)
