Huge thanks to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for supporting veterans and for the amazing show today (Oct 12) at the Meyerson! The whole performance was top-tier with Fabio Luisi conducting, Bruce Liu on piano, the DSO premiere of What Do Flowers Do at Night?, and two epic Respighi pieces. But what really stuck with me was the organ in Church Windows. Bradley Hunter Welch, the DSO’s resident organist, gave a quick breakdown of how the instrument works and then absolutely killed it. Watching him control that beast with both hands and feet was unreal. I had no idea how much footwork was involved. The deep bass just rumbled through the hall. And when he played a short solo so you could hear the organ by itself? Goosebumps. Total respect. #DallasSymphony #VeteransSupport #DSO #Meyerson
