Dear Messina Tour Group...thank you wholeheartedly from the bottom of my heart!! I've been having a rough summer, battling some serious demons, losing a friend to suicide, and just finding out another passed away two days ago. I took this trip b/c my doc told me I needed a mental break. I figured why not surprise my niece with her first concert to end her summer vacation as a thank you for helping her mom with her siblings. The look of shock on her face as I broke the news said it all. The constant giggles between her and her cousin all the way there warmed my heart. Unfortunately, my sister's husband got called into work so she couldn't get a babysitter for the other two kids at the last minute, so I was left to chaperone two teens on their first ever concert adventure at the same age I experienced my first concert. At the end of the night, the smiles that I saw on their faces, made my mental vacation and the tickets worthwhile. Thanks for helping me get away from the real world, and for making my niece's summer end on such a high note. Now she can start school tomorrow and brag about what a cool aunt she has, to fly up the coast, surprise her with a visit and the concert of her life!!
