I wasn't going to attend this show, I really wasn't. But when VetTix had some tickets, I reconsidered. I don't often get attached to rock bands, but KISS has been a part of my life since I was a boy. The first concert I ever saved money for was KISS. I listened to KISS on my iPod in Afghanistan. The first outdoor concert I saw with my wife, after deployment, was KISS. And once VetTix offered, I knew I had to go. It was like a sign. I'm so glad we went! Farewell tours are sometimes melancholy, but KISS came out and put on a solid high-energy two-hour show, playing so many of the songs I remembered from all different stages of my life, and I was really happy. My wife and I sang along to the songs and reveled in the stage show, and I was able to say a loud and fun good-bye to a band that has accompanied my life for almost four decades. Thank you for the nudge, VetTix. Thank you for a great night, Live Nation. And to KISS: thank you for all the fun and music. I'll miss you.
