I have admired and respected and LOVED The Oak Ridge Boys and Lee Greenwood for as long as I can remember! This was truly and HONOR and a PRIVILEDGE to see them all perform live! I have always dreamed of seeing them! Wow, what a performance! They were all fabulous! They sang all our favorites and so many more! We feel so blessed to have been a part of this amazing evening! I can't believe they've been doing this for 44 years, and I just found out about it! I was truly touched by the overwhelming support of our Military and Veterans! Kentucky knows how to take care of them, and they were phenomenal! This day checked off THREE things on our bucket list! This was our first time to ANY State Fair ever! We were so impressed with everything set up and offered at the venue. The staff was super friendly and helpful, although I don't know when I ever walked that much! It was even more difficult after driving nearly 4 hours to get there, and it wore me out for the drive back home! It was nearly 5:00 AM before we made it home, but thank the Good Lord, we had a safe trip! It was a very LONG day and night! But, it was so totally worth it! I hope we can go again next year "¦ a time or TWO! We originally obtained these tickets marked for Sunday, August 18, 2019, Military Appreciation Day. Somewhere along the line, they changed to any day during the Kentucky State Fair. My son and his wife backed out on us, so my daughter and I went alone. I desperately wanted to return on Tuesday night for Herman's Hermits and Gary Lewis and the Playboys, but I couldn't scrape up enough money for gas and parking. So, I mailed the other 2 tickets to the Kentucky Wounded Heroes in Louisville. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did! Thank you greatly to the Kentucky State Fair Board and VetTix for allowing us this opportunity! Words cannot express the true depth of our gratitude for this opportunity, and your ongoing support and recognition of Military, Veterans, and their families. You are two very amazing organizations!
