I'm an old veteran who has some issues that puts some resistance on my getting out of the house. I tend to try to find every excuse of not going here or there and have extreme anxiety and depression and often debilitating panic attacks"”Especially in anticipation of events such as yesterday. I don't like putting my business out there, but I thought that for this purpose and what it means to me, that I would. However, I am a huge Eric Church fan of course as you can see by the picture, my wife and son are too. I also must keep pushing out of my comfort zone or my brain/body/soul will just atrophy. So, the Chief was my carrot to get out of the house. Tickets that the donors of one of the greatest veteran opportunities (VETTIX) provides. I live about 30 minutes from the Gorge, which is one of the greatest venues in my opinion. So, 30 minutes of anxious driving, 15 minutes of anxious parking then a little tailgating to self-medicate with a few Busch Light Tall Boys. Of course, I would not get intoxicated as I was representing fellow veterans and VETTIX. As Eric Church would say, "I have a round here buzz." Music played, I was lost and couldn't feel my anxiety and all the noise for that few hours. Thank you for that. It is very few and far between that I get that opportunity of feeling normal. On my Facebook, I gave a thank you also which I promoted smileamazon.com trying to encourage folks to use it and think about donating to VETTIX as I am. Again, thank you for everyone involved with this opportunity. I'm not much a smiler, my pretty wife has the beautiful chops, my son with his dimple, and this was late into the concert and he's ten. If there ever was a death bed memory, this will be one of them hopefully way, way down the line. Thanks again.
