What a great night at Chase Field. Despite losing to the Atlanta Braves 4-11, the evening was filled with much joy! A former 6th grade student of mine from 39 years ago came with me to her first ever D-Backs game. Cari and I had not had any contact since she was in my 6th grade class until I was invited to her 50th surprise birthday party a year ago January in Minnesota. So fun to reconnect! Cari is a member of The Vuhalla Movement supporting veterans. Another first timer with us was my neighbor's granddaughter who is in U of A's medical school. Her grandfather is Navy Vet. A huge thank you to the Arizona Diamondbacks MLB and VetTix for providing this fabulous opportunity!
