I want to send out a very special THANK YOU to Speedway Motorsport, Inc. and to VETTIX for the absolutely awesome tickets to the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway. What a great adventure this turned out to be! Here's the backstory"¦ Watching a NASCAR Cup race at Bristol has been on my bucket list for a long, long time, so when this race was posted by VETTIX, I couldn't believe it. Naturally, I entered the lottery right away but was not selected. Much to my surprise, the event came back around in the "first come, first served" situation. I immediately applied for and was granted tickets to the race. Now, another situation had to be addressed; how do we get there? You see, I am from the Midwest, in the St. Louis area. Airline tickets were way too expensive, and we had a previously planned engagement on Friday evening, so we wouldn't be able to leave until Saturday morning, which put us on a very tight time schedule. Well, needless to say, my family members and I elected to drive, and set out on our 10+ hour journey very early Saturday morning. We arrived in Bristol at about 5:00 p.m., which gave us a short time to explore before taking our seats, which by the way, were much more than we could have asked for. We were seated dead center of the back straightaway, more than halfway up. This gave us an incredible view. It was like looking into a bowl. We could see every inch of the track, not missing any of the action. It was the thrill of a lifetime! Thanks, again, to Speedway Motorsport, Inc. and VETTIX for providing this wonderful experience!
