Thank you, Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases, Major League Baseball, Chase Field, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, the Police, Security, vendors, and your great staffs for a fun evening. Chase Field is such an awesome stadium. We had fantastic seats, in Section 310, overlooking first base. The roof was closed, but the atmosphere was pleasant. The wide variety of food & beverage vendors inside the stadium is a huge plus, and the items are reasonably priced compared to many parks. During games, there are plenty of family activities, festivities, people and groups honored, such as the Hot Dog Derby (Ketchup won), Talking Stick Resort Card Match Game, Cox Legends Race (Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Randy Johnson, and Luis Gonzalez; Matty won), Bongo Cam (New Era Fan Cam), Fry's Inning of Winning, Rally Towel Time, Do the Dance, APS Electric Moments, D-Backs 50/50 Charity Raffle ($27,624 to the winner), etc. By the way, it is Spanish Heritage Weekend, and Roberto Clemente was honored tonight. The D-Backs started off hot scoring 3 runs in the first inning. They got another 3 in the 6th. Both were the result of 3-run homers. The Cubs scored 4 runs at the top of the 9th, via 3 homers, which made the game very interesting. The D-Backs ended up winning 6 to 4. Yay team! This game was special for my wife and me. When we lived in Oregon, we used to watch the Hillsboro Hops, a Minor League seed team for the Diamondbacks, play High-A ball. It turns out, the shortstop for Chicago, Dansby Swanson, was on that team. I'm so glad he made it The Show.
