I was fortunate to get a ticket for last night’s Matchbox Twenty concert at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The last time I saw Matchbox Twenty was on June 3, 2003 in Portland, Oregon. It had been 20 years in between concerts. Due to military, various Veterans service organizations, and other commitments, I didn’t have time to see the band in the last 20 years. I was very happy to be able to see the band again. The atmosphere for the both Matchbox Twenty and opening performer Matt Nathanson was fantastic. Everyone behaved themselves and had fun singing the various songs. I had a wonderful response talking to folks working the event in addition to fellow attendees. The only bad part to the event was thunderstorm that interrupted Matchbox Twenty’s set. After the weather cleared, the band resumed the its set list. The venue gave more time for Matchbox Twenty to finish the concert. Overall, I had a wonderful time attending Matchbox Twenty last night. Thank you to VetTix and Live Nation for the ticket last night. This Navy Retired and Marine Corps Veteran greatly appreciated it big time! Also, thank you to both Matchbox Twenty and Matt Nathanson for wonderful performances last night!
