By way of introduction to “Gypsy,” Stevie Nicks (age 75!!!!) recalled how she would center herself when she “got a big head about the Fleetwood Mac thing.” She would take the mattress from her bed, set it on the floor, festoon it with pillows, and then sit down in the middle, reminding herself, “I am still Stevie.” It was a humbling moment for this multi-millionaire (smile) and those in this sold-out crowd. There was no doubt to my wife and I, and the rest of the concert goers last night, this was The Gypsy. The Bella Donna. The Blonde Beauty who launched countless hit songs. The super-star who could send the crowd reeling simply by spinning around in a circle crooning out one of the many colorful and iconic shawls she sported throughout the evening in Milwaukee’s FISERV forum—did I mention she was 75?!?! Her voice was flawlessly impeccable, and the audience simply could not get enough. Like my wife and I, virtually all stayed until the very end when she sang her emotional encore performances of “Landslide.” My wife and I want to thank VetTix and ALL the contributors for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She sums her experience up this way, “All the memories of spending summers with my grandparents came rushing back—I was blessed to hang-out with my aunties and uncles who were the coolest hippies on the planet!” As a side note, Kudos to Events-by-Design who provided this great concert poster for folks to take a memorable event photo next to (see attached pic). YOU provided us a couple hours of stress-free, worry-less, pure sing-along fun. VetTix Rocks!
