Last night, under the dazzling lights of the T-Mobile Arena, history intertwined with the present as Greta Van Fleet took the stage for their Starcatcher World Tour, and I was there. Thanks to the incredible efforts of LIVE NATION WORLDWIDE and Vet-Tix, music lovers and fans alike were treated to an unforgettable night of pure rock and roll magic. As a 100% Army-disabled veteran, leaving the confines of home can be challenging, but this evening's experience was a rare and remarkable gift that will forever be cherished. In a world where trends and musical genres come and go, the undeniable truth endures: rock and roll is immortal. Despite the clamor of naysayers, Greta Van Fleet stands as a testament to this enduring fact, proving that the heart-thumping rhythm of rock is very much alive and kicking. (Sorry, Gene Simmons, but your declaration is falling on deaf ears that Rock and Roll is dead.) The vitality with which Greta Van Fleet commanded the stage was awe-inspiring. With a spirit that belies their years, this youthful group exuded confidence and self-assuredness that many more seasoned artists would envy. Their identity as musicians is crystal clear, and the privilege of witnessing their performance up close and personal was a stroke of fortune. A highlight that echoed through the night was the drummer's solo, a mesmerizing eruption of rhythm that electrified the air. Amidst the resounding beats, an unexpected twist unfolded, igniting one of the show's most unforgettable moments. As the drummer's energy reverberated through the arena, the rest of the band slipped away to a secondary stage on the far side of the T-Mobile Arena. Here, the atmosphere transformed into an intimate haven, a realm where thousands of concertgoers became a united community. I was seated close to this secondary stage. The surprise acoustic set that ensued was a gift beyond measure. Greta Van Fleet's soulful melodies resonated, filling the arena with camaraderie and warmth, bridging the gap between performers and audience. Voices joined in harmonious unison, a testament to the band's profound connection with their listeners. Last night was more than just a concert; it was a soul-stirring experience that transcended barriers and united generations. To Greta Van Fleet, Vet-Tix, and LIVE NATION WORLDWIDE, heartfelt gratitude is extended for an evening that will forever be etched in memory. For a 100% Army-disabled veteran, this night was not only a respite from everyday challenges but a reaffirmation of the power of music to heal, inspire, and bring people together. Rock and roll lives on, and Greta Van Fleet is the blazing torchbearer of its undying flame. Richard Gaspa Las Vegas, NV
