Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases and San Francisco Giants
Subject: A Night to Remember: Deep Gratitude for the Gift of Giants Baseball Dear Veteran Tickets Foundation Purchases Team and San Francisco Giants Organization, I hope you are all doing well. I am writing to thank you for the tickets to last night's game against the Cincinnati Reds. As a disabled veteran, outings like these serve as incredible morale boosters and offer a refreshing respite from daily life. You could not have picked a better night for me at Oracle Park. To see Kyle Harrison—a Bay Area native—make his dominant home debut was electrifying. His performance brought me back to the days when Lincecum's locks were flying in the wind, Cain's perfect pitches and Bumgarner’s maverick style left us all awe-struck. With 11 strikeouts and just three hits over 6.1 innings, Harrison echoed the greats who've stood on that mound before him, and for a few beautiful hours, I was lost in the thrill of the game. Witnessing a young pitcher like Harrison succeed, especially after a difficult period for the Giants, was uplifting for me and, undoubtedly, for the rest of the Giants community. It felt like a collective victory that we desperately needed. The roaring applause as Harrison left the field, the last-minute drama, and then the closure from Tyler Rogers and Camilo Doval—it was a spectacle that rekindled my love for the sport and respect for teamwork, aspects that are deeply rooted in my military background. It wasn't just Harrison’s historic pitching that made the night extraordinary. Seeing the Giants' resilience, adaptability against Andrew Abbott, and finally breaking that losing streak against the Reds felt like small victories in themselves. Your generosity allowed me to experience these moments firsthand to soak in the sights, sounds, and sheer talent displayed at Oracle Park last night. Thank you for reminding me that despite the challenges we face—individually and as a community—there are still reasons to celebrate, be hopeful, and come together. The value of last night's experience goes far beyond the price of a ticket; it’s a lifetime memory that I will treasure sincerely. In closing, I extend my sincerest appreciation to the Veteran Tickets Foundation for making these tickets available to veterans like myself. You provide much more than just a seat at a game; you provide opportunities for reconnection, for joy, and for finding a sense of belonging. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart.
