Thank you kindly, it was the first time my family visited a NASCAR race; my children enjoyed it while getting involved with choosing their favorite car. I have been to Darlington several times before but my family had never been, my wife said she would do it again, my youngest daughter can’t wait to go again and my teenage daughter said “yeah that was cool” but I think she has the “been there done that” mentality and not confident she will join us on another trip. It means more than you know, after returning from Afghanistan and being forced to retire due to combat injuries I have a challenging time getting out; I don’t have the desire to be in public crowds. Because of this there are memories that are missed with my family as they tend to do outings while I chose to stay at home. These events mean far more than you know as it reintroduces me to public events and in the case crowded events which I would typically try and avoid after my combat injuries. So a simple thank you means more to me than you can imagine, it is therapeutic for both my family and I and we are forever grateful.
