What I posted on my Facebook page: "I used to drive Roberta to the gift shop where she worked on Saturdays. I rewarded myself with a McDonalds meal, and listening to the comedy show on NPR “Wait wait don’t tell me” while eating my McMuffin and the drive home. Yes, I mostly listen to AM radio these days…..I’m officially old. Anyway….it’s a funny show that typically covers the topics of the past week, and consist of a host and guest comedians in front of a live audience. So when I got my tickets from “Vet Tix” for the show “Wait wait don’t tell me” I assumed we were in for a seat at a taping of the show. Um….no. It was a comedy tour that had the comedians from the show do stand-up that was uncensored.... and honestly, much more funny than the radio show I always enjoyed. I had the feeling that I wasn’t the only one that was misguided in the large audience that attended last night. I don’t think anyone was disappointed in the show…..laughs and applause were constant…the comedians were great. I’m penning this not so much about the show, but more about the program “Vet Tix”. Military vets get free tickets to 100’s of events, shows, and games…..and only pay $14 for handling. The tickets we got last night (we had great seats) were about $80 each if we had to pay for them ourselves. This is our third time using Vet Tix, and I am certain we’ll be going to more events in the near future. All they ask is that you take a picture thanking Vet tix at the event and send it to them….and spread the word to other Vets about the service they provide. I am happy to do so. https://www.vettix.org/"
