Thank you so much! We had an amazing time! I have been a life long Seahawks fan and this was by far the best Seahawks game I have ever seen in person! My wife and I fought to get the young man in the picture (my wife’s cousin) out of the terrible living conditions that he was forced to endure for the first 11 and a half years of his life. Growing up in Idaho the Seahawks have always been his favorite team. Our love for the Seahawks and football in general gave us something that we were able to bond over effortlessly. I signed him up to play 6th grade tackle football last year, and I was able to fly up to Idaho and watch him play a couple of his games! He had never been to a football game so I was able to take him to a couple college games in Idaho. I pressed the issue and was able to get the courts to give me co-guardianship last October then sole guardianship at the end of this summer. One of the things that would always help to take our mind off of the court battle was football. Christmas last year was his first away from his immediate family so we wanted to make it special. One of his gifts was to go Christmas Eve to the Seahawks vs. Chiefs game at Arrowhead. It was his first NFL game and he absolutely loved it. Despite being -5 below at kickoff, 10mph wind that was made worse by sitting up high where the wind just whips through the stadium, and Seattle while losing by 10 points it was nowhere near that close. We had a great time though! Then this year I was able to serve as an assistant coach on his 7th grade football team that was the runner up for our region. I have been unable to take him to any games so far this NFL season due to his football schedule and having neck surgery in October. Thank you so much! It was perfect football weather! It was 68 degrees! Seattle came back from behind in the 4th quarter twice to win a game that they had to win to keep their playoff chances alive! The seats were unbelievable! The 2 touchdowns they scored (4th quarter) were on the side of the field we were on just on the opposite sideline! It was a great experience!
