Hadn’t been able to make it to a game all year and unfortunately we had missed the normal military appreciation game that would normally be the only game we could get to during the year as a family. An added bonus was my kids getting their 15 seconds of fame on the big screen which I’m sure they soon won’t forget. On another note this game gave me the ability to reconnect with another Afghan War veteran and his son who couldn’t currently afford even parking for the game, but loves baseball and has been bummed he hasn’t been able to make it to a game all year. If it hadn’t been for these tickets I’m not sure when we would have been able to set something like this up and it had been far to long since we had been able to meet up, was truly an amazing event.
