I cannot thank you enough for this. Counting Crows sing a song called Mr. Jones. When l was deployed to Iraq someone sent me a small guitar and I played that song, as good as l could, when my days were over. CJ, a friend to me and my famly often listen as I played. I think it was one of those things we both found as a way to forget for a minute the mortars and rockets coming onto our base, the rifle fire consistently targeting our helicopters while were in them and the fact everyone we knew and loved were thousands of miles away. CJ was a warrent officer in the army so he was addressed formally as Mister and his full name was Charles Jones. Mr. Jones. When he died in Iraq that song became apart of my life in a way I can't explain. For years the CD didn't leave the player in my car. I fell apart and was rebuilt by that song daily. I had to live because he couldn't. I had to remember my friend but it hurt. I could write so much more, but I think the point was made that this concert was so much more to me than just a night out. I had never seen them play before now and I wasn't sure I ever would have the opportunity. You gave that to me and I am grateful.
