The Phoenix Symphony
Many thanks to the Phoenix Symphony for the tickets! This was a very nice concert. The whole 1920's theme was great. We enjoyed the pre concert band and dancers (they must have slept well that night), as well as the selections for the concert.- Rhapsody in Blue was outstanding. Mr. Hanick was great and the orchestra was very well connected. Mr. Reif was really into the music, and his explanation of the pieces at the outset was very helpful. The Pines of Rome is one of my favorites, and the surround sound effect of the brass at he back of the theater makes it even better. (Of course we all know that the trumpet is the king of instruments) . Again many thanks to a great organization.
