Dear Chicago Symphony Orchestra, I wanted to extend my deepest gratitude for the incredible opportunity to experience Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra from the front row on Friday night. From the very first note, I felt as though I had been transported to another world—a realm where music weaves its own universe, full of wonder and emotion. One of the most captivating elements of the evening was the stunning performance by Ms. Iveta Apkalna on the organ. The way the organ’s rich, resonant tones blended with the orchestra added an almost mystical dimension to the music. It felt like a hidden voice within the symphony, revealing new layers of depth and intrigue. Her artistry was nothing short of breathtaking, and it made an already unforgettable night even more magical. Being so close to the orchestra allowed me to truly appreciate the passion and virtuosity of each musician. The interplay between sections, the energy, and the sheer brilliance of the performance made this an experience I will cherish forever. Thank you for this extraordinary gift.
