Subject: Deep thanks for an unforgettable night — Raphael Saadiq, Sep 8 Another Planet Entertainment, First off, thank you. The tickets to Raphael Saadiq’s No Bandwidth: One Man, One Night, Three Decades of Hits show on September 8, 2025 meant more than words can catch—but I’ll try. What you helped make possible was rare: a one-man performance where the music wasn’t just played, it was lived. Saadiq, Grammy-winning artist, Oakland-born, co-founder of Tony ! Toni ! Toné!, Lucy Pearl, and collaborator with names like Beyoncé, Solange, and Kendrick Lamar, stood solo with a guitar, bass, piano, a stool or two, and some truth. No band, no frills, just decades of music and personal stories woven into something electric and poignant. He held court, told tales from East Oakland, spoke softly about family, even his late brother D’Wayne Wiggins, and let us in on unfiltered moments from Lucy Pearl, that tension, that raw honesty. Phones were tucked away so nothing got in the way of that intimacy. By the end, his hits, “Feels Good,” “Anniversary,” “Just Me and You,” “Ask of You” were on our lips and in our bones. Funny, affecting, real. That show didn’t just entertain. It carried weight, history, and heart. Thank you for giving me and my wife that gift. For a few hours, I wasn’t just in a crowd, I was part of something true, something lived. That matters. With deep appreciation, Maury “Mack” McFadden
