LA Galaxy
My first soccer match was LA Galaxy versus Real Madrid at the LA Coliseum in 2011, and while Madrid won 4-1, the passion that the Galaxy faithful showed when LA scored by chanting “WE SCORED ONE” at the top of their lungs introduced me to a love affair that hasn’t stopped since. While I might have a team more local with SDFC, the Galaxy will always have a place in my heart. So much so that it was an absolute THRILL to see them qualify for the Champions Cup next year. I know this season isn’t what we wanted it to be, especially in light of being the defending champs, but it’s all part of the ride. And to the LA Galaxy, for all the matches I’ve been to, thank you for bringing us veterans along for the ride!
