Thank you, Veterans Tickets Foundation Purchases, for the tickets! Friends and I loved the NASCAR race at Chicagoland Speedway, near Joliet, IL. We stood for the National Anthem, cheered for the drivers, and put in our ear plugs! "Gentleman, start your engines." The eero 400 race was off. Just two laps in, a minor accident. The yellow flag came out, and the drivers slowed down. We toured merchandise trailers and devoured some New Orleans style fish. Another caution flag; follow the pace car at 1/4 speed. Fans stood up when the pace went to the pit; and the race cars picked up speed. The sun went down, and the lights came on. It cooled a bit. The last 90 laps were uneventful. Top cars going around the oval track. Lap 267 came, and the checkered flag went to Chase Briscoe! His first win of the 2026 season and sixth win overall. Denny Hamlin took 3rd, and Bubba Wallace took 6th. The winner spun out, to the delight of the fans. The Victory lap float came by. Chase gave a speech and thanked team and sponsors. It was a fun night at Chicagoland Speedway. We appreciate all your support of the military and their families.
